This was taken in the early 60s on a charity walk from Nottingham to Mansfield at one of the staging posts.

The people are from left to right Graham Watts (Danny) rear David Searcy, Jeff ?, Michael Johnson (Mick - deceased 2009), Richard Tunnicliffe (Tunni) and Robert Oakes (Rob).

I cannot remember which charity it was in aid of but I remember that we received a little assistance in the form of a lift - not on the bikes I hasten to add.  We all seem suitably attired for the event except Rob - his footwear seems rather fashionable but inappropriate.  Also, I appear to be carrying a rucksack but its just patterning on my sweater.  Mong and I were well known for never carrying anything (particularly lunch) but partaking in the very sociable activity of sharing (others may not have called it that as we never had anything to share). - Graham and Janet
